Bassett Duo are an accomplished instrumental partnership built on more than fifteen years of performing together. As founding members of a successful acoustic and folk ensemble, they have developed a strong musical synergy and each holds a Royal School of Music Grade VIII in their respective instruments. Their experience includes performing at festivals, weddings, corporate events, and private celebrations, where they have become known for their reliability, professionalism, and high-quality musicianship.
Specialising in violin and guitar, Bassett Duo creates elegant and expressive instrumental music that blends classical influences with contemporary favourites. They pride themselves on tailoring their repertoire to suit each occasion, ensuring a warm, distinctive, and memorable atmosphere for every performance. All music is performed entirely live—never using recordings or backing tracks—allowing audiences to experience the nuance, spontaneity, and emotional connection of genuine live performance.
Every arrangement is crafted with care to highlight the natural interplay between violin and guitar, resulting in pieces that feel both fresh and timeless. In November 2024, Bassett Duo were honoured with the award for Best Wedding Musical Act, East Wales at the Welsh National Wedding Awards—a recognition of their artistry, dedication, and commitment to creating unforgettable musical moments.
